Art Requirements

We can create artwork for your label project.  Here are guidelines for providing correct artwork.  Please note that it makes good sense to check your designs (and spelling!) before sending them to us--corrections and modifications made after proofing stage will incur extra charges, as we need to repeat the entire pre-press process to rework your files.

  • Freehand 11.0 or earlier
  • Corel Draw! 10.0 or earlier

What to Include with Your Graphic Files

  1. All Black & White, Grayscale or 4 Color Process placed/parsed images, saved in .tif or .eps format.  Note: Placed or parsed images that are not printing 4 Color Process must be in Black & White Bitmap or Grayscale.  These files cannot contain any color information.
  2. All fonts used, including screen and printer fonts.  Note: We can only work with Postscript fonts - True Type fonts or fonts resident on your IBM compatible are not usable on our Macs!
      1. If your files have been created using True Type or PC fonts, please convert all text to "outlines" or "curves" before sending the files to us.  This way, we will not need the fonts from you!

  3. Color and /or Black & White proofs of your artwork so that we know what we should see on the files when opened.  If hard copy is not supplied, Label World will not be held responsible for missing or incorrect graphics.  You can fax the copy to us at (585) 235-0398.

"If you needed it to create it, we will need it to print it!"

Note: Camera ready art supplied in hard copy format will need to be recreated by us on computer to assure best quality.
